Jane Maguire and John Quigley are the masterminds behind the company with one word that is sure to make you smile - 'shrooms.

The East End Mushroom Company is the premier grower and purveyor of the finest mushrooms on the East End of Long Island, New York. Magical in their own right, this family-owned and operated farm offers locally grown mushrooms to restaurateurs and consumers alike from their location in Cutchogue into the five boroughs of New York City. 

The East End Mushroom Company was founded in October 2012 with a mission of growing mushrooms, specifically the Shiitake, Maitake, and Oyster varieties, and offering them to everyone from famed local chefs to enthusiastic home cooks. Grown in a state of the art facility, mushrooms are picked daily to ensure incomparable freshness. Jane and John can be found at the farm weekly, and at the various farmers markets on the North Fork. Inspired by the local food scene, they saw a need for a farm that hadn’t previously existed on the East End. Surrounded by boundless agriculture, the couple decided to start growing mushrooms and open their own farm. Since opening, Jane and John have seen much success in distributing to restaurants across New York, as well as their retail store at the Cutchogue farm. We pick these yummy guys daily to ensure freshness and incomparable taste. The other varieties we carry are purveyed from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. That's the Mushroom Capital of the World... in case you were wondering.

Opened in Cutchogue in 2013, our farm is a hyrdoponic state-of-the-art facility that allows us to grow our awesome 'shrooms year round. 100% computer-controlled, we ensure the temperature and humidity of the farm is the perfect balance to keep our mushrooms happy whether we are at the farm itself or on the road. Isn't technology grand?

Mushroom Club

If you love mushrooms as much as we do, join the club! Pick up your membership punch card during your next visit to our retail location in Cutchogue. After 10 purchases, you can select a mushroom of your choise, $15 or less, for free!

Each month, we will also be selecting a different specialty mushroom, either grown at our state-of-the-art facility or purveyed from Kennett Square in Pennsylvania. The Mushroom of the Month will be available to members only at a special discounted price*. You must be on our email list to receive the specialty mushroom.

*As the Mushroom of the Month will be offered at a sizable discount and are limited in quantity, a limit of one pound of the month's mushroom will be available per person, per month. You must be on our mailing list in order to purchase the Mushroom of the Month.
